On Wed. April 18 Cornerstone University and Aquinas College faced each other in softball. Pitcher, Madison Bucilla, slides into home scoring their fourth point.
Emma Giese,12,is from a small town. Because there is not much to do, she spends a majority of her time riding bikes.
A group of Cornerstone University seniors spent a chilly night in a homemade hot tub. This inventive group of guys took a tarp, placed it in the back of a truck, and dumped hot water in it.
What’s on the inside is suppose to count, but the only redeeming thing about these flowers is their outer beauty. This species of Pear tree is not known for its appealing aroma, but at the end of its life the bad smell goes away, and the flowers fall off.
Between late Friday April, 23 and early Saturday April 24 Immaculate Conception School (ICS), of Monmouth ILL was broken into. An investigator from Illinois’ state police department was hired to search the property for important information. The suspect broke the school’s computers and threw hamburger meat throughout the cafeteria, along with other damaging acts.
First picture: Carolyn and Walter Giese, of Morning Sun Iowa, had been married just under 58 years. They met when Carolyn was 16 and Walter was in his early twenties. They quickly fell in love, and got married. Not long after, they had their first child which was followed by seven more. They both faced terminal cancer, but did not feel that it was necessary to seek out treatment. A couple weeks before Christmas of 2009 Walter passed away.
Second picture: Carolyn Giese, now a widow, enjoys the company of the outdoors while her son, Adam Giese, pushes her down the sidewalk. Carolyn, in her last stages of cancer, has still decided to not seek treatment. Her sons and daughters take turns watching over her and taking care of her needs. Although she is in great company, Carolyn is ready to go “home.”
The Mud Room, located in Ada Michigan, was first opened in 1996 as one of the first “paint your own pottery studios” in Michigan. Rachel Klobucher has been the owner since 1998, and offers a lot to the community through her studio. The Mud Room is a nice place for family and friends to gather and spend quality time. Guests are able to choose from bowls or figurines to paint.
On Wed. April 18 Cornerstone University faced Aquinas College in a softball game. Jessica Kuhlman, number 14, prepares for her try up to bat. “We lost, but it was still a good game,” said Beth Wycoff, an outfielder for Cornerstone.
On Saturday Feb. 13 Patricia showed off her chocolate collection at Art of The Table in Grand Rapids,MI. Patricia studied at the French Pastry School in Chigcago,ILL. She hand crafts every piece of chocolate and packages assortments of them in beautiful boxes topped with a bow.
Jesse Padgett, freshmen, suited up for an on campus choir performance. Padgett is a member of Chorale, an acceptance only choir, at Cornerstone University.

This Urban duck and her ducklings have made the Grand River, in downtown Grand Rapids, their home. She had a total of 13 ducklings.
